On a Winter's day

Title bears no relation to California Dreaming. Especially as this photo was taken in Arizona. (Visited Flagstaff in February 2008, for five days. That is... the extent of my experience with snow. It makes your fingers hurt, it's REALLY HARD when it's packed on the side of the road but you still can't walk in it without sinking up to mid-thigh, and you really don't want to wear shoes that will allow you to get SNOW IN YOUR SOCKS, which is not a great idea when you've just sunk up to mid-thigh. Eww.)

...Anyway. For my modern AU - a winter's day with friends. Clearly AU, as Sheik and Midna are in the same scene. (Ocarina!Link and Zelda - sort of - which makes Midna the odd one out.)

Zelda stifles laughter at her girlfriend's antics. Sheik just hopes Link isn't going to have cold feet by the time they get back, because otherwise he WILL put them on him.

Yes, Midna really is that much taller than Link. (Have you ever compared Link's height to everyone else's in Smash Bros? EVEN ZELDA IS TALLER THAN HIM. N'aww, shortarse hero.)
